Day 8

Day 8

I was very worried that today I could not complete my task because I suddenly became violently ill and had to rush home and go to bed, thus being unable to complete the task.  However, I realised that in all this commotion I did actually do today's task.....let me explain..

Today, do a runner.

I was all prepared about how and when I would do a runner.  I was out at a food festival with friends I'd planned to do a runner as we has dinner.  However, we decided in the early afternoon to have a snack.  I ordred corn tostida.  Now, I should backtrack and exaplain that I have a plethora of food allergies which can be quite constricting...these include:

Peanuts
Pine nuts
Eggplant
Indian Food
Thai Food
MSG

The reaction to these various from stopping breathing, intense stomach pains, vomiting, hives/welts/rashes from head to toe and swelling of the mouth.

Anyways back to the story....Mexican food has been the one food type which I have felt totally safe with as before yesterday it had been totally free of my allergens.  I took one bite of my tostida and I could taste something...peanuts.  (I get a really intense bitter/ dry/ burning sensation when I taste peanuts - even just one mouthful).  Uh oh.  Took an antihistamine.  Thought I'd be alright.  Was watching a band with friends.  Mouth was starting to swell.  Palms getting tichy.  Started to wheeze.

So I said I'd go and sit in the shade for a bit.  By the time I got to shade I was feeling very sick/ disorientated so I called on parentals to come and get me (my friend had given me a lift).   So I left the food festival and only when outside messaged my friends to tell them that I had left because I was starting to feel veeery bad (by then wheezing was worse and I was starting to burn up/ itch everywhere).  So got picked up and by then I was bright red and itching to buggery.  By the time I got home I was bright red and had massive welts/ hives from head to toe and stomach pains..... but I had a rest and although 3 hours later I was still rashed up, I felt much better.  Although I was annoyed that I didn't get to do my runner.

Then I realise........I DID do a runner, from the festival!

See, still changing my lift in the midst of drama!!
