THE LOVE OF YOUR LIFE
Today, gaze at everyone wondering whether they might be the one true love of your life, the one destined for you and you alone and whether you might be passing them by forever....Act in consequence.
Seems easy, doesn't it?
Not so much. For starters:
1) Today I had to work and I work with pretty much all females or children. None of them are the love of my life.
2) I am ultimately pessimistic about love and my chances with men. My automatic reaction is that no guy could possibly be interested in me so the concept of a 'love of my life' was a little bit hard to fathom.
Nevertheless, I soldiered on and will detail some of the possible loves of my life which I encountered:
1st: The cleaner at work. Although he is probably double my age and size. Found it hard to imagine him as the love of my life. He is a friendly fellow, however, I feel he would be appalled by the uncleanliness of my room and then squash me.
2nd: Man handing out flyers at gym: It went like this (remember what I said about my success with men above)
Him: Are you coming to our open day?
Me: (deadpan) uh..sure (take flyer)
Me: Depart quickly silently berating myself for not gazing longer and smiling. He was cute and would have been a suitable contender for 'love of my life'. Plus he could get me free gym membership.
3rd: Guy in white shirt in cycle class: Although a bit young he had a kind face. Could be a possible love of my life, although was kind of hoping for the love of my life to be older...but he looked friendly. However, could not talk to him over the thumping music, five bikes between us and the incredible about of huffing and puffing I was doing from my workout.
4th, 5th, 6th, 7th etc etc: Random hot dudes from the gym all with hot arms. Nice.
I guess gazing is not enough to inspire the love of my life to sweep me off my feet and carry me off into the sunset. Need to learn to 'act in consequence'....
But how........??
P.S: I did get a marriage proposal today. However, it was from a five year old.......
